Whole Village CSA has just changed management! We are happy to announce our intentions to create a cooperatively run CSA. We are looking for a full time farmer interested in working as a co-op member as well as living intentionally in a shared farmhouse for the 2012 season. This position comes with opportunity to co-create the CSA vision for 2012 and have a sense of shared ownership in the project. There are possibilities of living and working together into the future and beyond November 2012.

.

Whole Village Farm has existed as an organic vegetable farm for 8 years. We employ all-natural methods and some permaculture techniques in farming; but are not currently certified organic (although the land that we lease is under conservation easement regulations, prohibiting the use of non-organic methods of farming). The garden space is 2 acres, and we will be doing a 38 member CSA project as well as the Orangeville market. Although, we are not yet an official co-operative, we are organizing this year to be our pilot year for coming up with an official structure for our co-op. Tori is a returning head farmer from last year at Whole Village and Jen is joining as co-farm manager this year. We welcome you to come and learn along with us!

.

We are looking for individuals with the ability and desire to live and participate in an intentional community, be a part of a farming co-op and farm 40 hours/week. Farming experience is required and engaged dedication to the business as a whole is essential. Intentional community living and/or co-op experience are assets.

.

Our (Farmhouse) Values:

cooperation, anti-oppressive organizing and relations, sustainable growth, direct communication, community well being, integrity in personal and work spheres, honesty, acceptance of varying abilities, work/life balance, compassion, understanding, curiosity, accountability for our actions as a community and as individuals, ecologically sound practices, systems and self awareness, social justice and diversity in people, practices and plants.
