Community Network Facilitator
The Community Network Facilitator will enable the growth of two gardening networks.
This person will help to gather more accurate information about gardens in Toronto, and will organize events to bring gardeners together and to help them exchange knowledge.
The successful applicant will be well organized and skilled at bringing people together.
Detailed job description:
The job description for the Community Network Facilitator will include the following responsibilities:
Organize three community garden bus tours
Organize a city-wide school networking session
Organize a project to map and survey all of the community gardens in Toronto, coordinating volunteers
Qualifications:
- Very organized
- Event planning experience
- Volunteer coordination experience
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Adept at using Microsoft Excel
- Creative
- Interested in working on food security issues
- Extensive knowledge of the entire city of Toronto an asset
- Gardening experience an asset
- Experience working with diverse communities an asset

Hours and compensation:
37.5 hours per week; this is a Job Creation Partnership position with a pay rate of $423 a week or a higher rate based on the current employment insurance rates that the applicant is eligible for.
