Campbell-Rankin Community Garden

Location: On the north side of Rankin Ave. at Symington Ave. Map

Directions: Just north of Bloor St. and west of Lansdowne Ave.

Accessibility: This garden is accessible to people using walkers and canes.

About our garden: This community garden was started in 2006 on an abandoned City of Toronto Transportation land with a $1500 Beautiful Toronto grant. It is one large Communal Garden Plot. Initially started as a xeriscaping garden by about 8 volunteers.

Since then the city has installed a water source and our garden has flourished with plant donations from the volunteers who come out once a week, to help water and weed. Visitors can now enjoy the many perrennial flowers our garden has to offer.

Some of the plants include: Yarrow, Sedum, Black-Eye Susan, Daylily, Lavender, Cup Plant, Coneflower, Shasta Daisy, Poppy, Cosmos, Hosta, Heliopsis, Iris, Bee Balm, Ferns, Phlox, Sweet Pea & Hyssop.

Volunteers Needed: Please email Joe at: jat_29@hotmail.com if interested in helping out.

.

Visits: You can come by any time to see what is flowering and to enjoy the colours of our garden.
