Custodians:
Volunteer opportunity for the The Cutting Veg

(re-posted June 22nd 2010)

'

As in past seasons, The Cutting Veg will continue to provide the opportunity for folks to come out to the farm each Sunday morning, and on some weekdays throughout the farming season. There is no commitment necessary for this. One simply needs to rsvp to the "volunteer needs" section in the weekly newsletter called "Farm Talk", when one wants to come and help out.

.

However, in addition, The Cutting Veg is now accepting applications for our "Committed Volunteer" positions. A Committed Volunteer must be willing to commit to a certain shift each week, for six weeks at a time.

As thanks, a Committed Volunteer will receive, in exchange her/his labour: skills, knowledge, and veggies.

.

We are currently looking for committed volunteers for the following shifts:

  • FARM: Tuesday mornings, 6:30am-noon.
  • FARM: Wednesday mornings, 6:30am-noon.
  • FARM: Thursday mornings, 6:30am-noon.

.

To apply:

The Cutting Veg Field Manager, and let her know:

  • What shift you'd like to apply for...
  • Dates you'd be interested in committing to...
  • And to book a trial shift...

If, after your trial shift, both you and the Farm team feels it's a good fit, we will firm up the plan, including dates of the commitment.

  • No resumes necessary

Looking forward to working with ya! Keep Livin' on the Veg!
